Artificial Intelligence (AI) is here to stay, and it can be a powerful tool for designers. In much the same way I’ve used design templates throughout my career, AI can provide valuable time-saving benefits for rapid prototyping, complex image editing, and layout generation.

Generative AI in Photoshop has allowed me to cut hours from tedious retouching processes by executing image-editing commands more efficiently. Adobe Firefly takes that process even further by serving as a hub where I can quickly explore and access a wide range of creative possibilities.

The danger of AI lies in its potential to cross the line from assisting my creative process to taking it over. As long as AI remains an assistant rather than the source of the creative concept, I believe it can be a valuable addition to my design toolbox. Ultimately, the ideas and creative direction should remain my own, with AI serving as a tool to help bring those ideas to life.
